because during the noon time the sun is exactly above our head .......but during the evening and morning time it is perpendicular to our head ....i.e due to variance in degrees....during noon it's 90° while morning and evening it's around 15°to 30°

<b>HEY THERE!

QUESTION:-

why are shadows at noon shorter than in morning and evening?

ANSWER :-

Hey sun is just top of our head in the noon so it makes a very short shadow of us as well as of everything( as sun's light travel in straight lime ) and in the morning and evening it makes shorter angle and bigger shadows.

HOPE IT HELPS YOU
