why are Siberian cranes called migratory birds

In winter, the climatic conditions of Siberia is not suitable for the birds living there and they cannot survive in those conditions .So in search of food and good environment Siberian cranes move to places like Bharatpur in India. As Siberian cranes have the longest migratory period,so they are called migratory birds.
