why are snake and crocodile kept in same phylum, although they have different heart chamber?

They belong to the group reptilia, which means land/terrestrial animals. Though crocodile have different chambers while comparing with others in the reptilia group, it is a terrestrial animal, right!
So, Dinok,(question asker), they are placed in the same group.

Snake and crocodile are kept in same phylum ( reptilia) although they have different heart chambers because they have scales all over the body , they breathe though gill pouches , they are terrestrial animals , Heterotrophic nutrition , they lay eggs on land . So crocodile have lot of commons with the snake so they are kept in the same class
