Why are solids rigid?

solids have particles packed close to eachother they vibrate on spot and the distance between the particels is minimum even the particles ar held together by strong intermolecular forces of attraction

solid and rigid because the intermolecular force of attraction that are present in solid are very strong so the solids cannot move from it position they can only vibrant from their position
