why are southern slopes in himalayan region covered with thick vegetation cover as compared to northern slopes of the same hills?​

Answer:

The southern slopes of the Himalayas receive more rain due to the south west monsoon winds which travel west along the southern slopes. The northern slopes do not receive any such rainfall and hence there is a difference of the presence of vegetation.
