Tertiary consumers are The animals which consume on Secondary consumers only. Even though Secondary consumers are omnivores [ eating plants, primary consumers ]. The animals which consume Secondary aren't omnivores because they eat only animals, hence they are carnivores

Well before you get to know the reason or the answer of your question let me tell you why they are called omnivores :

YOU WOULD PROBABLY KNOW THIS ANSWER BUT JUST A LITTLE RECAP:

OMNIVORES:
Animals which consume only meat are known as omnivores

NOW LETS CONSIDER TROPIC LEVELS AND THEIR FOOD HABITAT:

i have attached a picture at the bottom now open the link and you could follow different levels where they include
the manufacturers of food
strictly vegeterian eaters

and now the animals in the secondary level are eaten by some animals who  dislike the green food food their plates are to be filled with the meat of other animals that means they are strictly "CARNIVORES "
These tertiary consumers have a great dislike towards plants to be added to  their appetite hence they stick on to their routine of eating other herbivores which makes them strictly"Carnivores "  unlike others who like to eat both green and meat making a balanced diet chart , they are like health professionals

so shall we tell the carnivores to take more nutritious food or wht?

TO MAKE THE CONCEPT MORE INTERESTING AND CLEAR I HAVE USED SOME FRAMING WORDS WHICH DONOT INCLUDE IN THE SUBJECT HOPE YOU GOT  RIGHT IF YOU ARE STILL HAVING DOUBTS YOU COULD ASK ME
