why are the bottoms of pants painted black

Black colour absorbs more heat; so the base is painted black to cook the food faster. Bottom part of the cooking utensil is blackened so that maximum alount of heat is aborbed by the utensil, where as the upper part is kept shining so that minimum amount of heat is lost from the cooking utensil.
