why are the caspian sea,black sea,and the aral sea,which are lakes,called sea?

It's a large Salt water Lake and not a sea because there is no strait leading from it to the ocean.And Caspian Sea is the largest lake in the world. ... Both are salt lakes without any outlets.Still, They are continued to be called seas as they are too big to be called a lake

some lakes are too big for their size and are termed as inland seas. caspian sea is one of them .
