why are the handles of cookwares made up of plastics​

Because plastic is bad conductor of heat.So, it prevents our hand from burning

Basically utensils are made of metals and their handles are too made from mostly metals,wood and plastic conduct heat much less than metal due to free electrons running around that help heat to move .As we know that wood and plastics are bad conductors of heat because of not having free electrons.
