Why are the pulmonary veins called veins if they carry oxygenated blood? Why are pulmonary arteries called arteries if they carry deoxygenated blood?

the word pulmonary. means opposite. so pulmonary vein does opposite task from vein vein carry blood away from heart while pulmonary vein carry blood towards heart. This situation is also same in arteries and pulmonary artery
