Why are the pyramids always upright

because, producers are always placed at bottom and than consecutive consumers are placed up step by step .

Ans: Pyramids of energy is upright because when energy flows from a trophic level to next tropical level , some energy is always lost as heat as each step.

Finally it is lost to atmosphere and never goes back to sun
