Why are the walls of ventricles are thicker in human heart

Hey Friend,

We can see that the walls of ventricles are thicker than the walls of auricles.
This is so because, the ventricles are responsible for pushing the blood away from the heart. Whereas, the auricles only need to push the blood to ventricles situated close to it. The left ventricle pushes the blood into aorta..i.e. to the entire body. The right ventricle pushes the blood into the pulmonary artery i.e. to the lungs.

Ventricles need thicker and more muscular wall to force the blood into the respective arteries under pressure.
