Why are variations required in species but not so required in individuals?

Biology, OMG!
Let's make this crisp and clear,
Variation is important for any species because it allows the species to adapt to a changing environment.
It leads to slight changes in the characteristics of the organism which makes it a better orgamism than the pre existing ones . It plays an important role in maintaining the existence of species.
Variations are the result of struggle with other organisms in an environment for food, shelter and other resources which make the organisms more adaptive and strong compared to other struggling organisms who fail to adapt or dominate in the struggling environment which leads to no occurrence of variation in them.
However, if some variations were to be present in a few individuals in these populations, there would be some chance for them to survive.
For example - If there were a population of bacteria living in temperate waters and suppose the water temperature were to be increased by global warming. Most of these bacteria would die, but the few heat resistant variants would survive and grow further.
♤ A species include large no. Of individuals of same kind. All the organisms of a species have similar body design and well adapted to the place.
♤ If there is a variation arise from the individual it might not be beneficial to it, even this variation may lead to the death of the individual.
♤ but the variation may be beneficial if the species faces a drastically altered condition.
♤ In this condition the population may wiped out completely but of some variation are there few individual can survive and thus variation is beneficial for the species.
