Why are veins provided with valves ?

veins are provided to prevent back flow of blood

Let's try to understand what is the function of valves ?

Valves are present in order to prevent back flow of the blood.

The blood present in arteries have high pressure of blood than in veins.

So, in arteries valves aren't required.
