viruses are considered as both living and nonliving as when they came in contact with living organism they shows living features and as they come in contact with non-living non living things they die

they are considered to be at the border of being living or non living as they are non living actually and act as a living being as it enters the body of a host.
it doesn't have its own biochemical pathway so there were even no medicines to treat viral diseases but scientists have developed treatment.
