Why are water bodies shown in blue and vegetation in green colour on map

hat's a relevant question. I suspect that is, in fact, due to vegetation being primarily green and water being primarily blue. Don't quote me though.

AS WATER IS OF BLUE COLOUR AND IT PPEARS BLUE IN THE EARTH, SO OCEANS AND WATER RECOURCES ARE OF BLUE COLOUR .......
