In dark room there is no light.
But when light enters the light hits on the dust particles and reflects to our retina.
In a dark room there is no reflection or any source of light.

Light falls on the object and thus gets reflected to our eyes which is then perceived by us. As there is no light the objects are not reflected and we cannot see.
