Why are we unable to make glycerides larger than triglycerides? Where do we store the excess energy on the triglyceride?

Triglycerides are constantly in circulation as a natural part of the vascular system, ready to be metabolized to provide a source of energy. When present in abundance, triglycerides can be accumulated in fatty deposits, which if prolonged over time, can contribute to obesity and associated health conditions.
