why arid soils lack humus and moisture

àrid soil is found on those area where the temperature is high respectively these soils contains less amount of moisture and humus

The arid soils are formed in places with very high temperature.
So gradually the microorganism cannot live due to High temperature and cannot produce humus ( waste materials produced by the decomposers ) . There is less moisture as night temperature the more rate of evaporation
