why atomic size of group 18 is more than the group 17

the gp-18 elements are noble gases. They do not react with any other elements.
Actually atomic size depends upon atomic radius. Atomic radius is half the distance between centres of a bond of two atoms.
as gp-18 do not react with any elements there bond length is more hence atomic size is more.
