Hey friend the answer will be..

We have very popular saying in India that “1 Bihari, 100 bimari”. Bihar has the lowest per capita income in India. In 1950, Bihar’s per capita income was 204 Rs & India’s was 265 Rs. But in 2014, Bihar’s per capita income was 28000 Rs & India’s was 75000 Rs. Why?

Here we go.

Bihar has geographical disadvantage. It is land locked state with global access limited to only Nepal (which is also poor country).

Bihar has no major industry. Sugar mills & fertilizer companies were shut down because of poor eco system. Goods are coming to Bihar from other states via trucks but those trucks are used to go empty from Bihar to other states.

Jharkhand got separated from Bihar. Bihar lost all mineral rich regions & major industrial regions (Tata Nagar, Jamshedpur).

Fright equalization policy was the major reason of no industrial growth in Bihar. Instead of providing perks to set up companies in minerals full regions, Bihar government provided incentives to transport those minerals to other states.

Bihari people crazily goes for civil services in the greed of high dowry rates. Civil services are the aspirational achievements for Biharis.

Bihar got stuck with cast politics instead of development politics. Government is unstable in Bihar. Governments changed 40 times in 70 years. CM changed 23 times with an average span of 1.5 years.

Education & employ-ability are directly proportional to earnings. But Bihar has the highest fertility rate & lowest literacy rate.

That’s why Bihar is still poor.

Today Bihar has the maximum youth of India. This hard working youth’s power should be used to create opportunities to lift Bihar out of poverty.

I hope the answer is clear..
