here is ur answer..
As copper ions which are blue in colour are being discharged at the cathode, their concentration in the solution decreases.Therefore, the blue colour of the solution progressively fades and the solution will become colourless when all the Cu ions are discharged at the cathode.
So, the proper reason is the deposition of copper ions at the cathode .
