Why breatbreathing rate of aquatic animals are maore than in land animals?

Yes, the rate of breathing in aquatic animals is very fast comparing to the land beings.

The main reason behind this :-

( i ) There is a very low percentage of oxygen trapped in the bods of water compared to land. There is a same need oxygen percentage for both land and sea organisms, and as their is less percentage, the sea organisms will need to breathe faster in order to meet their demands,
