Why breathing respiration are not same?

Ans))) --Breathing--It is a physical process, in this exhalation and inhalation is involved which is done by hearts
--Respiration ---It is a chemical change in which energy is released after taking food and oxygen and giving out co2.

See it's very simple.
Breathing is a mechanical process in which we inhale air which is maximum in oxygen and then exhale air which is maximum in carbon dioxide.
But the process of respiration means the breakdown of glucose , in the presence of oxygen into carbon dioxide, water and energy.
It helps in the production of energy.
