Broken glass is non-biodegradable ..... It doesn't decompose....that is it will never mix with the soil and disappear. Though it can be melted and recycled.

Broken glass utensils are a kind of non-degradable waste. The reason is that glass cannot be decomposed. For the glass to not cause any harm it needs to be disposed off in deep dug pits.

Although, broken glass in huge quantities can be used in glass industry after melting it down.
