why bronze is proffered in the making of statues?

Because - -

1)bronze is the cheapest and easily available.

2)it is harder and more ductile than copper.

3)it is very resistant to corrosion.

4) to make a curve the malleable substance is used as the bronze malleable so it is used to make status.
