Answer:

Siddhartha Gautama was born as a prince.

Gautama Buddha was shielded against all sights of pain and suffering in his palace. During one of his hunting trips Gautama Buddha came across a sick man. Then he saw an old man, a funeral procession and a monk begging. Siddhartha Gautama was twenty five years old at that time. He was moved by the sight of these sufferings so much. Thus, he realised how human life is full of pain and suffering, decay and death. This made him renounce the world and become and ascetic.

He went out into the world to seek enlightenment.
