The bones cannot be folded becoz they contain calcium in the form of calcium carbonate which make them hard

There are two types of bones:

- Soft bones such as cartilage

- Hard bone

Hard bones are impregnated with calcium phosphate and stretchy collagen which makes them hard and unable to fold or twist whereas cartilage is made up of soft collagen and cells called chrondocytes which is why it can be twisted and folded.
