why can our elbow not move backwards

We can't move our elbow backwards because our elbow has hinge joint

which is similar to the hinge of a door....and most of the doors don't go backwards

So this is the reason why we can't move our elbow backwards...

ELBOW IS MADE UP OF A PARTICULAR TYPE OF JOINT HINGE JOINT THIS TYPE OF JOINT IS A COMPLEX JOINT THIS JOINT ENSURES THAT THE ELBOW DOESNT COME BACKWARDS OR FORWARDS OR SHIFT FROM ITS PROVIDED PLACE.
