why can't India have 100 of states as ys has 50 states?

Answer:It's not possible as it's not too big to have 100 states or each state has to divide in 3-4 new states to reach 100 states which will lead to more division of caste etc. and would create problem.

The United States of America. The District of Columbia is a federal district, not a state. Many lists include DC and Puerto Rico, which makes for 52 "states and other jurisdictions".
