Why can’t we consider equation(1) , take LCM (by which we obtain a quadratic polynomial in the denominator) and then take the zeroes of this polynomial in the denominator .i.e. equate x=y or x = -y and thus finally solve the system of the given linear equations in 2 variables by substituting the values of x or y obtained in equation (1) in equation (2)?
