hi..

1) Airplanes are FAST. They do 800+ km/h in cruise on a daily basis. And guess what? Its shadow moves at about the same speed on the ground...

2) We can spot an airplane from miles away when it's at cruise altitude. Standing in the same spot, the airplane could be ANYWHERE within a radius of several miles and we'll still be able to see it as long as there's no cloud obstructing it.

3) I assume you are talking about shadow on the ground right? So you've got to be in a place high enough to see enough of the ground area to spot where the shadow is.

hope it helps you

thanks.. :)
