Why can't we write the number 15 in roman numerals as VVV

heya friend
we use only 10 main number to write numbers from 0 to infinity same as here are same main numbers
10+5=15
10 is not written as VV their is separate symbol for 10 it is X
so 15 is written as XV
not as VVV
therefore we don't write 10 as VVV

This applies to 15 and VVV, in the sense that you could express it as XV rather than VVV since its shorter.
