Why can we see our image in some surfaces and not in other surfaces?​

Answer:

A mirror is a very shiny surface as it reflects most of the light that comes towards it. When reflected light enters our eyes the we see the image of an object from which it has come. Other surfaces are rough and absorb most of the light that comes to it and thus do not form any image.
