Why cannot you see your surroundings clearly as you enter a darkened cinema hall

Because our eyes take time to get relevant to less light of cinema Hall than bright light outside.

because when we were in open place the pupil of our eyes had grown small to prevent more light from entering the eyes. It takes time to adjust to the dark.
