Why cant transformers be used with D.C motors?

DC motor is not USED in transformer. ... When DC is passed through the transformer, the time invariant current passes through primary winding and time invariant flux in induced in primary this does not link with the secondary as relative motion is missing. Neither the flux is time varying nor secondary is moving.

hey mate here is ur ans :-

in the DC source current is uniform and does not change over time

the transformer cant work on DC bcoz the primary coil will create a constant magnetic field which will fail to induce emf on secondary coil
