Why cant u see the beam of light but only the spot of light on the surface where it falls

parakhcmd: simple concept so since the particle are too small they cant reflect the light while the surface reflects the light and remember a very important thing that u can see objects only when the light reflects and falls on retina leading to formation of image

Because the light rays are not reflected off anything, the path is clear so we do not see the beam of light.

But as the path is broken by any object the spot of light is seen
