Did you had ever gone to picnic with you family by a car. If you had then again when you go try to extend your hand beyond the window, but not so much ok. If you do that then you will feel a great force pushing your hand, this is called air resistance.
Now cars and aeroplanes are much bigger objects and thus they will feel much greater resistance, and this would waste energy.
So to prevent energy scientists has experimented with various shapes and sizes and found out that a body with fish or bird like shape possess a less amount of resistance. Such a body is called streamline body and the shape is called parabola.
So a streamlined body feels less resistance than a normal body.So cars and aeroplanes are made streamlined shape.
