why carbohydrates are not digested in stomach?

Carbohydrates doesn't digest in the stomach because it requires amalyse enzyme to digest and in stomach, due to the acidic conditions, it doesn't present so stomach can't digest carbohydrates.

carbohydrate digestion start in mouth with the help of chewing and slavery amylase in combination of mechanical and chemical action. while the process take place in small intestine, Salivary amylase do not work in stomach because of acidic conditions, that's why carbohydrate does not digest in stomach
