Hey Mate!! Here is your answer-

Carbon dioxide is very cool when it comes out of the extinguisher, also it can reduce the oxygen from the fire triangle effectively to put the fire off. But carbon dioxide works efficiently only on B type fires. It cannot put off the A type fire.
