Why carbon does not dissolve in cs2 but sulphur does?

CS2 is a non-polar solvent. carbon allotropes are often macromolecular solids,so no they will not dissolve in pretty much anything without some kind of decomposition.while sulphur is notoriously difficult to disslove due to its non-polar nature even water is not capable of dissolving sulphur.
