Why Carbon monoxide is more stable than Carbon di oxide ????

hey mate..

stability of compound is directly
proportional it's bond order .
CO(CARBON MONOXIDE) has a
bond order =3
and
Co2(CARBON DIOXIDE) has a
bond order = 2
therefore , carbon monoxide will
be more stable then carbon

no, CO2 is stable
CO is not stable and the O have 2more unpaired electrons is present
