Carnatic war included diplomatic and military between the French East India Company and the British East India Company which basically wanted to establish trade centers here in India in the middle of the 18 century. The British were able to maintain their dominance and the French were pushed to a corner confining to Pondicherry only. Hence, it was an example of a trade war.
