Why cell wall becomes impermeable for water

It happens because of "lignin." Lignin is part of the cell wall that deposits the cell walls of many plants. It provides support and water resistance so that the pressure remains intact within the cells of the plant. The cell needs water to survive and the cell wall is what protects it from viruses that could get in the cell and kill the cell or infect it and make the person sick. The cell gets water in the cell by using the Lignin which helps get water into the cell.

Hope this helps!

Answer:

it so happens due to the presence of substance in a plant cell called lignin. Lignin is present only in the cell wall as it provides support and water resistance so that the osmotic pressure remains intact within the cell of the plant
