Why charge remains constant in series combination of capacitor?

so if I have different value resistor connected in parallel then the current flowing through them will adjust in such a way that the product of R and Chemicals does the flow of current across any branch is dependent on the value of resistance of the of that branch of the network .

because in series combination charge doesn't divide divide
