Why choloplast is absent in animal cells?

As plant synthesis there own food and use the sunlight for the synthesis,there cells possess chloroplasts containing chlorophyll.chloroplasts are absent in animal cells because animal do not synthesis there own food.there are only present in plant cell because the process of photosynthesis only held in plants

Chloroplast is present in plant cell because plants are autotrophs, they prepare their own food through photosynthesis which occurs in chloroplasts. But in Animals, its not required as they are dependent on either plants or on other organisms for food.
