Why circular motion of moon is dependent on its velocity....like i have studied that there should be enough velocity for sattelite to move in orbit...if sattelite is projected with slower velocity than it actually require it will fall on earth...can anyone help me in case of moon as it is also a natural SATTELITE

Any body revolving around a body moves with a velocity called orbital velocity, and so does moon.
The orbital velocity is given by the expression Vo= √(gRe), where g= acceleration due to gravity
Re= Radius of the earth.
Vo= orbital velocity.
I am not sure what happens of moon moves with lesser velocity than orbital velocity, but if moon will start to move with √2 times its orbital velocity, it will escape Earth's gravitational field.This velocity which is √2 times the orbital velocity of moon is called escape velocity
