Thunder is the sound caused by lightning. Depending on the distance and nature of the lightning, it can range from a sharp, loud crack to a long, low rumble (brontide). The sudden increase in pressure and temperature from lightning produces rapid expansion of the air surrounding and within a bolt of lightning.

skraj99: Lightening in the sky, a flash signal generated by electric discharge is bright light. You may have seen a small spark in your electric power in your home or outside. The power of the sky is like the same spark. The difference is that this lightening power is a large scale spark.

Lightning is a huge electrical discharge that flows between clouds, from a cloud to air, or from a cloud to the ground.

The charge develops because of the collisions between tiny ice particles within thunder clouds.
