Concentrated sulphuric acid is usedduring the laboratory preparation of hydrogen gas. ... We cannot useconcentrated sulphuric acid during the laboratory preparation of hydrogen

awadhesh1674: Nope wrong answer
arjunnani: sulfuric acid is a strong oxidizer. Also produces much sulfur dioxide as well. It has to be in a water solution to best react with metals to produce hydrogen. Somewhat diluted sulfuric is usually used. Hydrochloric solution is cheaper and more effective, usually reacted with zinc or iron filings to make hydrogen. Then the gas is filtered and dried for use.
