why copper and mercury do not react with hydrochloric acid and sulphuric acid?

copper and mercury does not react with hydrochloric acid and Sulphuric acid because copper and mercury are very less reactive then the hydrogen present in hydrochloric acid and Sulphuric acid.

Copper does not react with dilute hydrochloric acid because it is below hydrogen in the reactivity series of metals.
